I always like to think that making things yourself to decorate or eat around Christmas adds to its charm. That is to get away from the commercialism of it all and spend time at home doing things with family, friends or quietly by yourself. That being said, there is no doubt that someone else may be able to do something much better than ourselves, and for that we have ETSY. We love Etsy is allows us to set up our own shop but really we love it because it exposes us to amazing talent from all over the world. Here are some our favourites for hand-made Xmas decorations.

Anyone For Tea?

This is a truly fabulous collection of four cups, saucers, plates, a milk jug and sugar bowl (with lid). In vibrant orange this set is very 'retro' with it's clamshell design and heavy 60's feel. That being said it will look fantastic in any home where one wants style with history. I'm sad to sell this. There are 4 Cups, 4 Saucers, 4 Small Plate, 1 Milk Jug and 1 Sugar Bowl. Made from glass and all in amazing condition.

We like tea at Drunken House and nothing makes us feel more 'retro' than this Biltons green and yellow greek(ish) style pattern. The England company have been making pottery since the 1900's and this collection we put at around 1960, although we cannot discover for sure. The set consists of: 6 Tea Cups, 6 Saucers, 6 Small Plates, 1 Milk Jug, 1 Sugar Bowl and 1 Large round plate for cake or sandwiches.

Very pretty tea set from Old Royal, England. This is a small set perfect for afternoon tea. With 3 cups, saucers and small plates as well as a milk jug and sugar bowl.
